Inauguration Photos
Pics from today's events...0530, the start of our day through Marine One whisking away the former president.
56th Presidental Inaugration

We are thawing out from 8 hours in 20 degree weather. This morning Chuck, Ashlee, and I left the house to stand in line for the inaugration. It was worth the wait...President Obama's speech was GREAT, our spots on the Capitol lawn were perfect, and there were millions of people on the national mall. More pics to come...

Georgetown Cupcake...worth the wait!

Ashlee, Katie Vaughn, and I braved the Inauguration crowds and the cold on Saturday. We hoped to avoid the crowds by heading to Georgetown for lunch at Tacklebox and cupcakes. Both proved to be delicious! Georgetown Cupcake is the much hyped and tiny store that is home to DC's best cupcake. (Unlike Magnolia Bakery in NYC--this place is delicious, with crazy moist cakes, delicious flavors, and great icing!) There was even a nice guy handing out hot chocolate while we waited.
My favorite flavors in order...Toasted Marshmallow, Lemon Berry, Mocha, Red Velvet, and Chocolate Ganache (no suprise as I am no chocolate lover).

New Posts
We'll get some new posts up over the weekend. Andi has been taking lots of pictures with her new camera but she can't download them yet. Stay tuned for pics and updates...hopefully we'll get a great spot during the inauguration for quality pics.
